How To: DIY Lace Belly Bands

Although the team at PAPER & LACE looks forward to designing your invitations, we are aware some of our clientele love getting crafty. Besides, handmade invitations crafted by the bride are extra special because you took the time to make them yourself. DIY Laser Cut invitations have been available in our shop for quite some time but we have good news! The Do-It-Yourself section is expanding! Now, you can dress up your own invitations with our beautiful Lace BELLY BANDS! These easily stretch over any 5×7 invitation so you can add that vintage flare to any design. We’re all about inspiring, so here are three ways you can style lace belly bands.

Classic Vintage

Let’s begin with our most popular design! Here’s a great example of how you can add a vintage flare to your classic invitations. We wrapped a LACE BELLY BAND around Gold and Ivory Shimmer Card Stock and finished it off with Blush Satin Ribbon.

Elegant Trifold

If you’re more of a minimalist, wrap a lace belly band around a trifold pocket invite and top it of with a cute satin ribbon. They are simple but yet adorable and have enough mystery behind them that will woo your guests while opening them.

Shabby Chic

Going for a rustic theme? We used kraft paper with hand distressed edges and wrapped them in our lace belly bands. We finished them off with twine and monogram heart tags. Remember that our lace belly bands fit on 5 x 7 invitations and are currently only available in off-white. There are an infinite amount of ways to utilize lace belly bands so think outside of the box and have fun assembling!
